“I measure success in terms of the contribution an individual makes to her fellow human beings”- Margaret Mead
I just arrived in Lisbon, last Wednesday to be exact. After a few days of rest (oh how much I suck at doing nothing) I started drawing up a mind-map, setting out my goals, dreams and plans here in Lisbon and one thing became very clear to me. This isn’t a “fresh start” I don’t need a fresh start. This isn’t about “starting over” I don’t need to start over. I am not starting over, starting over sounds like I did something wrong, like I failed, like I ran away, from something terrible and I didn’t, that’s not what this is. My move to Lisbon is about the greater and the good. It’s about continuing something, something that will evolve in great, great opportunities, which will become great, great achievements. So I am here, in Lisbon NOT to start over but to CONTINUE that what I’ve started many years ago. I continue. I keep going. I never give up. I continue in a different place, but as the same person, with the same values, with the same mission, ALWAYS the same mission. Oh, sweet animal beings, this is for you, all of this is always for you. I love you. Amo-te. So here I am in Lisbon, hoping to manifest some incredible projects & events, hoping to create community and share knowledge, hoping to receive the support needed to keep striving, to continue the important work I do for THEM. I came across this lovely message I received as a thank you for this 10-course vegan dinner I put on last November, this message just brings back hope to my heart and a smile to my face, let me share this with you.
I wanted to say thank you for the beautiful 10 times the love event you put on! This was the first vegan event I have attended (even though I have been a vegan for many years now). I really enjoyed myself and the food was truly delicious! It was awesome to be in the company of other like- minded people. I just ordered your cookbook online too I also wanted to say that although I don’t know you, it was crystal clear to me on Saturday night, that you are the most amazing person with such a kind soul. Your passion and drive to help all the world’s beautiful animals really touched me and the minutes silence we had was a moment I will never forget – you truly could feel the energy and love in the room and I thought it was such a beautiful thing to do. I am sending you my love and prayers as you continue to be a voice for all the animals. May your work be blessed and may you gather more and more power to kick some serious butt against all the barbaric industries and forces in this world who treat animals so horrifically and brutally! Peace, love, kindness and my warmest regards, Lani
Thank you so much Lani. Let’s kick some serious butt, who is with me?
